A star system is a grouping of stars, asteroids and planetoids that make up the milky way and other galaxies. Star systems can be divided into whether they are inhabited or unihabited. The first inhabited star system is Sol.
Most inhabited star systems lie within a 300 light years of sol. This area of space is known colloquially as "the Bubble". There exist pockets of inhabited star systems in the Pleiades nebula, Colonia or along the Colonia Highway.
Inhabited star systems can have up to 7 minor factions who vie for control of the system.
Star systems may consist of one or more stars.
It is estimated that there are four hundred billion stars arranged in star systems.
