Thraskias is a system of around half a million souls that has a lovely ammonia world with a tourist beacon, which informs that there is strange life to be seen on the planet - but that rest assured, that strict measures are in place to prevent contamination.
It's secondary economy is that of colony, around the second star some 400K Ls away, which is an area rarely visited by tourists... or anyone, really, for that matter.
The system is governed by LHS 2541 Alliance Combine from Pettit Ring, the tourism station orbiting around the ammonia world of Thraskias A1. The Alliance faction expanded into the system on March 8, 3304, and quickly gained local support, not least due to the tireless efforts of a new diplomat of the Alliance Elite Diplomatic Corps. However, the belligerent contemporary ruler of Thraskias Crimson United PLC prevented an immediate take-over, as it kept itself occupied in conflicts in other systems.
Finally, after the population had enough after yet another failed conflict overseas, the locals rose up and assisted LHS 2541 Combine and their supporters the AEDC in their war with the Federation corporation. Over a massive defeat on the first day of the war, the Alliance took a break, not least to allow the civilian population to recover and find provisions. Not yet willing to give up, though, the Thraskias Crimson United PLC, perhaps with outside help from the larger Federation, launched a counter attack. Not deterred, the following day the Alliance again dealt a massive blow to the rulers, and on May 1, 3304 took control of Pettit Ring and the system.
The system has been thriving ever since.
